During a windy visit to Eva Mall in Bengaluru, Preetham spots Nandini and is drawn to her. In a comic misstep, he tumbles into an open manhole right in front of her. Nandini rescues him, but in the scramble she loses her heart-shaped watch.

Accompanying his mother to Madikeri, Preetham runs into Jaanu, who has been following Nandini and vows no one should get near her. Jaanu attacks him and his gang retaliates, leading to a tense street fight as Preetham defends his feelings. The encounter foreshadows the obstacles to their romance.

In Madikeri, Preetham identifies himself to Nandini and declares his love, offering to put her lost watch back on her wrist. Nandini, however, is already engaged and rejects his overture. He vows to marry her if fate brings them together again.

Preetham learns that Col. Subbaiah is Nandini's father and that her wedding is scheduled within a week. Her mother senses the anxiety of Nandini's position, while Subbaiah hopes she marries Gautam. Moved by the family dynamics, Preetham resolves to respect their wishes.

On the eve of the wedding, a despondent Preetham goes to a roadside bar where Gautam arrives for his ceremony. Jaanu shows up and tries to kill Gautam, but Preetham intervenes and convinces him that Gautam is the right match for Nandini.

The next day, Gautam’s car breaks down and Preetham helps bring him to the wedding just in time. Though Gautam is the intended groom, Preetham chooses not to attend the ceremony himself, keeping a distance as the preparations unfold.

Gautam asks for the heart-shaped watch as a memento, but Preetham refuses to part with it. A hush settles over the wedding in search of Preetham, and only his mother seems to know the truth behind his love for Nandini.

The arch proclaims the Kodava-style wedding as Gautam weds Nandini. Preetham is not present for the ceremony, and his departure remains shrouded in mystery while the guests celebrate the union.

As the celebrations wind down, Preetham finds a rabbit and names it Devadas, taking the animal along with the heart-shaped watch as a companion on the road ahead.

Driving toward Bengaluru, Preetham confides to Devadas about how deeply he loved Nandini and imagines what a life with her might have been. The rabbit becomes his confidant on the long, solitary journey.

During the drive, Preetham discovers that Devadas has died, a quiet, heartbreaking moment that underscores the cost of unfulfilled love. He processes the loss as he continues toward the city.

The film ends with Preetham burying Devadas, choosing memory over confinement. He carries the weight of his unspoken love for Nandini as he moves forward toward Bangalore.
