As the story unfolds, they find themselves attending the wedding of Ralph Hapschatt and Betty Monroe. As they embark on a long drive to share their joyous news with Dr. Scott, a mysterious Criminologist ([Charles Gray]) warns us of the peculiar series of events that will follow. The peaceful drive soon turns chaotic as rain begins to pour, and Janet feels increasingly anxious, especially with a band of bikers speeding by. After a sudden bang, their car comes to a halt, compelling them to seek refuge at a nearby castle they previously passed.
Upon arriving, they encounter Riffraff ([Richard O'Brien]), the eerie butler, who welcomes them in a manner that augments their unease. The interior is a bizarre amalgamation of odd relics, unsettling trophies, and dark wooden decor. Riffraff informs them they arrived on a fateful night when “the master” is hosting a particularly lavish party.
