Veerabhadraiah is a formidable faction leader in Rayalaseema who strongly opposes love marriages, especially when it involves his daughter, Kaveri. His unwavering loyalty is demonstrated through his loyal henchman, Jayaprakash Reddy, who follows his commands without question—even witnessing Veerabhadraiah kill his own father. The ongoing rivalry between Veerabhadraiah and the ruthless Venkatesh, a fierce enemy named Reddappa, fuels a backdrop of intense violence and hostility, with bloodshed marking their confrontation.
Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, a young and brave student named Giri, played by Venkatesh, is living a lively and carefree life. His life takes a turn when he has a quarrel with his colleagues, leading his wary parents to send him to stay with his elder sister Vaani — portrayed by Sudha — in Kurnool. During his stay, Giri falls for a beautiful girl named Kaveri, the daughter of Veerabhadraiah, played by Anjala Zaveri. Kaveri is initially distant and shows dislike towards Giri, especially after her father’s resentment about their love affair. Her attitude changes once she recognizes Giri’s sincerity and true love.
As the story unfolds, Giri’s decision to break off his engagement back in Hyderabad and pursue Kaveri intensifies the tension. His actions are fueled by genuine affection, but the stakes are high due to Veerabhadraiah’s wrath. Veerabhadraiah’s anger leads him to send goons and his loyal henchman Sivudu—Chandramohan—to recapture Kaveri and punish Giri. Giri and Kaveri flee to Hyderabad, where her parents initially disapprove of their union due to fear of Veerabhadraiah’s power. Even the respected SRK Master curses them, highlighting the dangerous grip of Veerabhadraiah’s influence.
Refusing to be defeated, Giri, along with his friends, makes arrangements for their marriage and prepares to face Veerabhadraiah. However, Sivudu attacks them, injuring Giri and kidnapping Kaveri. Sivudu then forcibly takes Kaveri back to Rayalaseema, deepening the conflict. In the meantime, Vaani and Chakrapani arrive in Hyderabad; Chakrapani, played by Chandramohan, wounds Giri in an attempt to protect Kaveri’s family, leading to Giri being hospitalized.
Recognizing the danger Veerabhadraiah poses, Giri’s parents go to Rayalaseema to negotiate, but Veerabhadraiah responds by imprisoning them. Giri rushes to rescue his family, successfully saving Sivudu and his kin from the clutches of Reddappa, and in the process, he manages to reform Sivudu from his violent ways. The climax builds with Giri risking his life to protect his parents and to be with Kaveri. As Veerabhadraiah attempts to physically stop them, Sivudu intervenes, confronting his master and acknowledging his wrongdoings, which leads Veerabhadraiah to realize the error of his ways.
In the end, love triumphs over hatred and rivalry. Giri and Kaveri unite in marriage, symbolizing hope and reconciliation amid the longstanding animosity. The movie concludes with the message that true love and righteousness can prevail even in the face of deep-seated enmity and violence.
