Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba

Two months have passed since the dramatic events of Haseen Dillruba, and Rani (Taapsee Pannu) is now residing in Agra, where she operates a beauty parlor. Meanwhile, Rishu (Vikrant Massey) is living under the alias Ravi and has taken up a job as a delivery boy, using a prosthetic hand to navigate life. To make ends meet, he also engages in various odd jobs, from appliance repairs to tutoring students. In an effort to evade capture, the couple has chosen to live apart but keeps their romance alive through phone calls, dreaming of a future escape to Thailand in two months’ time. They are committed to saving every penny to buy their tickets, with a travel agent assuring them that fake passports will take a month or two to arrange.

Meanwhile, there is unsettling news: a massive breakdown of the Hathni Kund Barrage has unleashed a horde of crocodiles into the Yamuna River, making their way toward Uttar Pradesh, including Agra. The tension in Rani’s life deepens as Abhimanyu (Sunny Kaushal), her landlady’s physician, begins to express an interest in her, which she firmly does not reciprocate. Simultaneously, Rishu faces unwanted advances from his landlady, Poonam (played by Bhumika Dube), who, though forthright about seeking only a casual fling, finds Rishu unresponsive to her propositions.

In a turn of events, Rani agrees to go to the movies with Abhimanyu, who excitedly buys tickets for the balcony, hoping for some privacy. However, that very night, with their landlords away, Rani takes a moment to invite Rishu over, completely forgetting about her plans with Abhimanyu, leaving him feeling slighted and resentful.

While Rani’s life seems to spiral, A.C.P. Kishore Rawat (Aditya Srivastava) and Inspector Manav Shukla (Saanand Verma) arrive in Agra, piecing together their connection to Neel’s murder from a book that has come to the attention of the police. The couple realizes they must be cautious and limit communication. Rishu makes a strategic move, calling Rani from a public booth to reassure her that the police have no solid evidence, urging her to stay strong.

As the investigation unfolds, Monty (Jimmy Shergill), Neel’s uncle, is relentless, motivated by revenge, and uncovers that Rani had frequently communicated with someone named Naitik, whom she claims was just a friend. As suspicion builds, Rani makes the desperate decision to marry Abhimanyu to deflect their attention away from her past. Monty’s relentless pursuit of the truth uncovers a shocking web of deceit and collaboration as he pieces together the fateful events at the bridge.
