Bill, working with a conspirator named Corbin, reveals that he runs a kidnapping operation tied to a brutal cartel scheme, and he coerces Thomas into cooperating with a cross-border drug-smuggling plan. The ultimatum is stark: the safety of Thomas’s wife and daughter hinges on his compliance, and the execution of the plan will unfold in real time.
As the plot unfolds, those who appear close to Thomas become part of the danger. His father, Richard Conrad, Raymond J. Barry is a judge, and his sister Claire, Nikki DeLoach a police officer, are drawn into the operation as the family is pressed to enact the crime. The pressure mounts through a series of tense phone calls and carefully choreographed action sequences, with Thomas racing against the clock to complete each step. He endures near-fatal injuries and the constant threat of a lethal chemical injection, while Bill’s henchmen keep watch and repeatedly remind him that failure isn’t an option. At one point, Thomas reaches out to a young man named Trevor, Lane Garrison, who seems to offer help but is revealed to be aligned with Bill, bringing in Thomas’s employee Olivia, Shi Ne Nielson, to shoot and kill her—an act that steers Thomas toward a breaking point.
The plan spirals further as events spiral out of control. Claire secures a substantial stash of drugs and money from a designated house, and the family rushes to deliver it to the drop-off point. But tragedy strikes when Claire is shot and killed while transporting the goods. In a desperate move, Richard calls Dr. Michaels for help, hoping to rescue his son from this impossible trap. A flashback reveals the other layer of Thomas’s torment: during a military operation, his past actions—cutting down armed kids in a home after a comrade was shot—haunt him and intensify his guilt and fear.
Dr. Michaels arrives at the house under the guise of seeking a plumber, then secretly makes a move to liberate the captives. He eliminates two armed men to free the house, and the tide turns in Thomas’s favor. Weak but determined, Thomas seizes an opportunity to kill Trevor and Corbin, severing the immediate threat. He escapes from the room, draws a clearer path through the corridor, and discovers the audio equipment that had been used to manipulate his perceptions. Exiting the bar where he’s been held, he confronts Bill, the supposed cartel mastermind, and eliminates him at the counter. Bill’s confession shatters the illusion: there is no cartel, and the elaborate scheme was his own manipulation designed to coerce Thomas into forcing his family to commit a heist.
