As four individuals place their trust in a venture capital scheme, they find themselves dazzled by the allure of substantial returns on money they’ve borrowed. The fact that this opportunity is laced with insider trading doesn’t deter them, as long as the cash keeps flowing. However, their fortunes take a dramatic turn when the company collapses under federal investigation, and their financier reveals his true nature: Eddie, a charming yet merciless mobster portrayed by John Travolta.

Eddie offers them a way out of their dire situation: to kidnap a man and hold him captive for 24 hours before delivering him to Eddie’s associates. This seemingly straightforward plan comes with a significant cost—the group must clear their enormous debt to Eddie and ensure a peaceful separation. Complications arise when it emerges that their victim has connections to a potent mob boss who is willing to pay a two-million-dollar reward for his safe return.

Just when they thought they had it under control, the kidnappers receive the horrifying instruction that each must murder their hostage before they can leave the building, elevating the stakes to an entirely new level.
