Shhh!

At his house at midnight, a young boy steps outside to relieve himself and notices rustling leaves in the distance. He strains to identify the sound and suddenly his face contorts in horror. He screams at the top of his lungs, signaling the first spark of fear that shadows the estate's mysteries.

A shooting crew led by veteran director Kashinath and producer NB Jayaprakash travels to Onti Mane Estate to start their newly approved film. They encounter a string of mishaps on the way and worry that the place itself is cursed or haunted. The journey ends with their arrival at the feared estate.

On arriving, they meet estate owner Nagraj Rao. Rao's daughter Bharathi plays pranks on Kashinath and Kumar, while Kumar is instantly drawn to her outgoing, charming personality. The mood shifts from professional to personal as a romance begins to bloom.

As filming progresses, strange nocturnal events begin: the demon ghost's costume starts smoking in the middle of the night, and Kumar sees a hooded figure leaving Rao's house. The estate's atmosphere grows tense and eerie.

A few hours later, the hooded demon grabs Kumar from behind and drags him to the estate hill, where a dilapidated house looms. The incident confirms that something supernatural is at play and endangers the entire crew.

Disturbed by the disappearances, Rao's wife lodges a complaint. SI Kalappa and a perpetually drowsy constable take charge of the investigation, promising a formal inquiry into the strange events.

It is revealed Rao's wife was the hooded figure, and her brother had been aiding her due to her affair with a local sanyasi, Dayananda Swamiji. The web of lies surrounding the family begins to unravel.

That same night, the wife goes out to meet her lover while the demon trails them. The sanyasi and Rao's wife share a liaison, the demon knocks out the sanyasi, and then abducts Rao's wife to the dilapidated house.

With more tragedy, the assistant director is found murdered and supernatural events escalate, convincing the estate’s inhabitants that a ghost truly haunts the filming site. Fear spreads among the crew as the body count rises.

Kashinath discovers a golden token of Lord Hanuman that he believes could unlock the murders. To complicate matters, Kumar also possesses a similar artifact copy, sowing doubt about his involvement in the deaths.

Kumar and Kashinath trace clues to Rao's house, where Rao is found hanging with a suicide note. The family maid reveals Rao's wife and his brother-in-law manipulated him to murder his friend Ramappa to steal a hidden pot of gold artifacts.

As revelations unfold, the burnt man is revealed as Ramappa's surviving son, traumatized by the fire. The production manager Srikanta and his brother are unmasked as masterminds; they die by cyanide in front of the doctor, and Srikanth is killed by the Superintendent. Kashinath blesses Kumar and Bharathi as they depart the estate, bringing the film to a peaceful close.
