This eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise kicks off in Havana, Cuba, where Dominic “Dom” Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are enjoying their honeymoon. While evaluating a car featuring a boat engine, Dom’s cousin Fernando (Janmarco Santiago) faces a car towing dilemma instigated by a man named Raldo (Celestino Cornielle). Attempting to dissuade Raldo from towing, Fernando is quickly reminded of his debts. Observing this, Dom steps in and becomes furious when Raldo speaks disrespectfully to Letty. To resolve the matter, Dom issues a challenge: a street race against Raldo. The stakes are high—victory grants Dom Raldo’s car, while defeat means losing his prized low-rider Impala.

Dom meticulously modifies Fernando’s car, stripping it down to reduce weight and adding Nitrous Oxide (NOx). The exhilarating race through downtown Havana sees Raldo initially in the lead until Dom unleashes the NOx, propelling the car forward. An attempt to sabotage Dom fails as he maintains control, but his engine overheats. In a daring move, Dom spins and drives in reverse to victory, ejecting himself from the flaming car as it crashes into the harbor. The crowd erupts in cheers as Raldo submits respect along with the car keys, which Dom graciously declines, opting instead to give his Impala keys to Fernando.

As Dom meanders through Cuba, he encounters a mysterious blonde named Cipher (Charlize Theron), who claims she needs his help. Her revelation—that she possesses compromising information—leads Dom to reluctantly agree to her demands. Meanwhile, Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is seen passionately motivating a girls’ soccer team, before being pulled into the chaos surrounding an EMP device in Berlin.

Dom, Hobbs, Letty, Tej (Ludacris), Roman (Tyrese Gibson), and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) succeed in acquiring the EMP but not without complications. Unexpectedly, after a sudden betrayal from Dom, Hobbs is arrested, leading to tensions among the team. A rogue Dom, now aligned with Cipher, puts the crew on high alert as he drives into a massive jet, sparking disbelief among his friends.

Hobbs finds himself in maximum security, face to face with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), who offers his brand of dark humor as they plot their escape. Meanwhile, Dom’s crew grapples with betrayal, while Letty defends him based on their shared past. In a thrilling breakout sequence, Hobbs and Deckard manage to make their getaway, ultimately teaming up at Mr. Nobody’s HQ to take down Cipher and discover Owen Shaw’s hidden status.

Cipher’s machinations unfold as Dom executes various high-stakes missions under duress, including stealing a briefcase in New York that leads to frenetic car chases and confrontations with the team. The drama escalates when Dom faces impossible choices, culminating in a heart-wrenching moment where he witnesses the suffering of his family, fueling his rage against Cipher.

As Dom confronts Cipher, he cleverly orchestrates a plan involving his allies and his hidden connections, successfully thwarting her catastrophic ambitions. With heart-stopping action sequences that feature a military-grade submarine, and jaw-dropping betrayals, the crew unites with ferocity, each member overcoming personal challenges and evolving through their shared mission.

Ultimately, after a spectacular showdown against Cipher, which results in explosions and daring rescues, Dom triumphantly reunites with Letty. They return to New York, where the crew, now a family, celebrates a new chapter over a rooftop barbecue. With lingering threats on the horizon, Dom introduces his son with pride, choosing the name: Brian, before leading the family in a moment of gratitude, solidifying their bond and history against the backdrop of high-octane adventure.
