On a remote island off the American coast, the Whateleys inhabit a decrepit mill haunted by a mysterious blood‑stained entity. After a lightning strike kills her parents, young Susannah is sent to New York by her aunt Agatha to escape a family curse. Years later, now married, she convinces her husband Mike to vacation at the abandoned mill, where they encounter a hostile gang led by Ethan, Susannah’s brutal cousin.
