Ravi Kishore Verma, a Bombay taxi driver, is haunted by the death of his sister Roopa after she eloped and was sold into a brothel. The trauma leaves him insomnia-prone and prone to violent outbursts. This past shapes his moral compass as he moves through a city built on exploitation.

Ravi meets Inspector Irani, a police officer he recognizes from a newspaper article. He offers Irani a ride and refuses payment, forming an unusual bond. Irani tells him to reach out if he ever needs help.

Ravi learns Pooja is trying to flee Maharani's brothel. He pools his life's savings—thirty thousand rupees—from Salim Bhai and enlists Gotya and pimp Gullu to help her escape. Gotya is held as collateral by Maharani to ensure Pooja's safe return.

Ravi and Pooja spend a night around Bombay, posing as a couple. Ravi confesses his love for Pooja and promises to keep returning for her every night, even as the brothel's grip looms. Their time together deepens trust while danger lingers in the city.

The next night Ravi mortgages his taxi to return to the brothel with more money. Maharani interrogates him, suspecting he's mad or in love, and recounts that she has run this business for thirty years. She explains that she anticipated Pooja's return next morning would expose whether he slept with her. He agrees to a cruel condition—to have sex with Pooja in front of Maharani—and then stabs Maharani, sparking chaos as they escape.

They flee to a distant location, where Gotya and Chanda marry in a temple with Ravi and Pooja blessing. The wedding marks a fragile peace before the looming threat.

They return to Salim Bhai's refuge for safety after the wedding. The four seek protection and a plan to outmaneuver Maharani.

Maharani's henchmen locate the pimp and break his legs, signaling vengeance. Salim Bhai urges Ravi and Gotya to enlist police protection.

Ravi decides to approach Inspector Irani for help again, arranging a meeting in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

The four arrive at the parking lot, but Maharani and her henchmen lie in wait and open fire. Gotya and Chanda are shot, while Ravi escapes with Pooja in Irani's police jeep.

Pooja is captured again by Maharani. Ravi is tortured and left for dead.

Ravi regains his strength, driven by memories of his sister and Pooja. He fights his way back to Maharani, kills Inspector Irani, and sets Maharani's brothel ablaze to rescue Pooja, ultimately killing Maharani.

For his vigilante actions, Ravi is jailed. The authorities condemn his methods even as his sacrifices for Pooja are acknowledged in the public mind.

After his release, Pooja and Ravi are reunited, continuing their complicated bond beyond the corruption that surrounded them.
