Gunasekaran is a 27-year-old MBA graduate who becomes the unexpected force behind a quiet wave of resistance in Tamil Nadu. The story opens with the state’s Law Minister Sadasivam pressuring Chennai Government Law College to accept an illegal “minister’s allocation quota” for admissions. The new principal refuses to yield, believing the quota would compromise the quality and integrity of legal education. In response, the minister deploys men who study at the college to inflame tensions, sparking violent clashes that claim student lives and force the college to shut down for two months. This brutal disruption becomes a catalyst for Gunasekaran, who, upon hearing the mournful pleas of a dead student’s mother, resolves to pursue justice beyond the official channels he cannot trust. Tension builds, and the city’s political machinery begins to feel the pressure from a determined outsider.

To pursue his cause, Gunasekaran abducts Eeswaran Eeswaran, the paroled brother of Sadasivam, and confines him in a half-built bathroom at an abandoned construction site for six days. Eeswaran is kept alive by whatever means he can find, even drinking latrine water to stay alive. In the midst of this high-stakes ordeal, Gunasekaran unexpectedly meets and falls for Malini Malini, a union that brings hope to two families who were previously divided by politics and fear. The families convene and agree to the couple’s alliance, adding a personal dimension to a story already strained by power and revenge. As Eeswaran’s parole deadline looms, Sadasivam scrambles to locate him, but his efforts are thwarted. In a critical turn, DCP Aravindan arrests Sadasivam for violations tied to the parole and the minister’s larger schemes, a move that shakes the political landscape and clears a path for the investigation to unfold.

Gunasekaran’s resolve intensifies as he works to uncover the truth and protect the innocent. He later releases a fainted Eeswaran, only for the escape to devolve into a deadly pursuit: Eeswaran kills two policemen and resumes his search for his unknown captor. The chase takes a dark turn when, through a tragic misstep by Gunasekaran, Eeswaran tracks Malini by her bank account details, abducts her, and kills a college mate in a bid to expose the man who held him captive. The danger culminates on the rooftop of the same building where Eeswaran had been held, where Malini is kept disguised as a scarecrow as part of the kidnapper’s ominous plan. The families band together in a frantic search, while Aravindan vows to kill Eeswaran to avenge the fallen members of his squad. The film tightens its grip as loyalties are tested and violence threatens to erase any line between justice and cruelty.

In a bid to shield the ruling party’s image, Sadasivam’s death is staged as an encounter, later ruled a suicide by the authorities. As the trail grows colder, Eeswaran nearly catches up with Gunasekaran, and the two end up on a bike that Gunasekaran himself is driving. The moment of truth arrives when Eeswaran spots Gunasekaran’s locket and realizes at last who his kidnapper is. The two men converge on the same building for a final, brutal confrontation. In the ensuing struggle, Gunasekaran overpowers Eeswaran by snapping his neck and secures Malini’s safety. The pair are rushed to a hospital, where Aravindan pays a visit and praises Gunasekaran for his well-intentioned act that, in his eyes, transcends ordinary law and politics. The film closes with the police ending Eeswaran’s death as an encounter and Aravindan receiving a hard-won promotion, a quiet acknowledgment of the messy line between justice and duty. Across a landscape of corruption and fear, a determined individual steps into the breach, seeking to restore what’s right even when the system seems to fail.
