The Revolution Has Begun

A retired teacher, Dwarka Anand, meets Manav and learns of his ambition to study abroad and then build a company. Dwarka dismisses Manav's capitalist dreams as greed and argues that they undermine socialist values; their conversation ends with Manav being asked to leave Dwarka's house.

Following the confrontation, Dwarka ejects Manav from the household. The two older men fall into an uneasy silence over Dwarka's ideals versus Manav's ambition, setting up the ideological rift that will drive later events.

Manav becomes a successful telecom entrepreneur and sits with influential business and political figures. He uses his power to influence decisions at a national level, signaling a stark transformation from the earlier encounter.

Journalist Yasmin conducts sting operations to expose corruption among powerful figures. Her reporting positions her against the same influential people Manav courts, creating tension between the two factions.

Akhilesh, the engineer and Dwarka's son, dies in a highway accident while investigating a bridge collapse. Sumitra, Akhilesh's widow, seeks compensation to fund her dream of building a local school, highlighting the corruption and delay in government processes.

In anger, Dwarka confronts a government official and slaps him, leading to his imprisonment. The incident underscores the institutional resistance against public demand for accountability.

Arjun Singh, a former student turned local goon, is inclined to fight the government for local causes. He initially refuses to assist Dwarka, but later joins Manav and Yasmin in the campaign to mobilize protests.

Manav mobilizes public support by enlisting Arjun and Yasmin. Arjun uses local muscle to rally about one lakh people, while Yasmin reports to bring the issue to national attention, turning a local grievance into a nationwide campaign.

The Chief Minister pressures Balram to act, and Balram frees Dwarka on the same day. He offers a settlement check to clear Akhilesh's compensation dues, but Dwarka refuses the payment and insists on clearing all pending dues within 30 days.

Yasmin accesses Akhilesh's home computer and uncovers a resignation letter pointing to a confidential report. She informs Manav, but they decide not to pursue the leak as part of their campaign, wary of political entanglements.

Arjun, Manav, and Yasmin gather records of all claims submitted in the district and plan a broad strategy. The campaign's growing success begins to panic Balram as public support swells, prompting actions against the protestors.

Manav investigates Akhilesh's work computer and learns that Akhilesh had implicated Balram's brother Sangram Singh in the bridge collapse. Sangram Singh is eventually arrested as the investigation deepens, exposing corruption at the top.

Dwarka launches a hunger strike to pressure the government, risking his health. Some of his supporters respond with violence, injuring policemen, prompting Balram to deploy CRPF forces to restore order.

As the town spirals into chaos, Balram orders the killing of Dwarka. Manav tries to intervene and is shot while attempting to save him. Dwarka dies, Balram is arrested, and Manav and Arjun vow to continue the reform by forming a political party.
