Keung, a resident, is preoccupied with online pornography, which draws him to Hung Hung. Hung Hung advertises her services online, and they arrange a night together in the bushes outside Plaza Hollywood. The encounter marks the first crack in the town's dull normalcy.

Hung Hung slowly infiltrates the town's lives, befriending Chu's family, especially Tiny, and goes by the name Tong Tong. At first her presence seems refreshing, bringing a glimmer of warmth to the family's routine. Over time, Tong Tong's seemingly innocent charm reveals a more opportunistic edge.

Tong Tong seduces Ming for sex, deepening the connection and crossing a line in the family's fragile routine. The dynamic at Chu's home shifts from tentative warmth to mounting tension. Secrets begin to churn beneath the surface of everyday life.

Tong Tong disappears from the town and sends letters to Ming and Keung claiming statutory rape, alleging she is under sixteen. She uses this to extort money to avoid legal repercussions and jail. Keung's refusal sets off a dangerous chain of consequences that echo through the town.

When Keung refuses to pay, he is chased by gangsters and his hand is hacked off and flung far away. The violence demonstrates the brutal, merciless underworld that operates around the town. The incident compounds the town's sense of peril and desperation.
