Ek Love Ya

Amar is a young man whose dream is to fulfill his father Shankar’s wish that he becomes a lawyer. Years later, Amar has become an alcoholic lawyer working for the famed criminal attorney CH Vishwanath, and in this world of high-stakes cases he meets Swati, a junior lawyer and Vishwanath’s daughter.

A flashback peels back the layers of Amar’s past: he once loved his childhood girlfriend, Anitha, but she left him without explanation. This drives Amar toward a dangerous thought of killing her. Yet the truth emerges slowly—Anitha actually loved Amar, but she sacrificed their relationship at the behest of Shankar, who did not want Amar’s career ambitions to be ruined by love. When Anitha is mysteriously pushed from an under-construction building and falls into a coma, the investigation points at Amar, who is arrested and awaits his day in court. The revelation of Anitha’s sacrifice shatters Amar’s perspective and leaves him heartbroken, realizing he had misjudged her.

The next-day courtroom drama escalates as Amar, aided by friends and Swati, escapes from the police and helps orchestrate a plan to move Anitha out of the hospital. What follows is a tense, procedural pursuit: they review CCTV footage with Swati’s help and uncover a trail that leads to a hotel, a sex worker named Daisy, and a hotel manager who arrives at the residence of a man named Ramesh—only to find Ramesh and Daisy dead. Their inquiries also bring in Anitha and Amar’s common friend Sheela, who reveals that Anitha wanted to reconcile with Amar but was silenced too late as the culprit had already pushed her toward coma.

A wedding videographer at the hotel confirms that Anitha was waiting for Amar, and Sheela calls Amar with news that the culprit has arrived. Amar confronts the culprit at Sheela’s house and presents him to the court; the man identifies himself as Lakshman and accepts his misdeeds, which leads to Amar being exonerated and cleared of the charges. As the crowd files out toward a new chapter, Lakshman is shot dead by Anitha’s father, sealing a moment of grim justice.

In a revelatory turn, Amar’s aftercare conversation with Vishwanath reveals a deeper conspiracy: Lakshman’s accusations were a scapegoat tactic, and Vishwanath’s true concern revolves around his son, Arjun. Arjun is exposed as the main culprit, and Vishwanath admits he tried to shield him while pressuring Amar to silence witnesses—including Anitha. When asked about Arjun, Amar confesses that he killed Arjun and disposed of his body in a dumping yard, a brutal act meant to avenge Anitha’s injustice.

Swati, upon learning of Vishwanath and Arjun’s misdeeds, is revolted and begins to push away from the corruption she uncovers. The film closes with Amar living quietly with his friends in a hill house, still speaking to Anitha, who remains emotionally fragile but present in his thoughts.

This is a story that threads personal heartbreak, courtroom drama, and vigilante justice into a grim portrait of ambition and loyalty, keeping the central question of forgiveness versus retribution at its core.
