A young Punjabi woman, Sweety Chaudhary, finds herself caught in the traditional expectations of her family to marry. While attending a wedding in Delhi with her father, Balbir Chaudhary, she encounters Kuhu, a vibrant girl, and her brother Raza (Akshay Oberoi). Their bond deepens as they share stories and aspirations, leading Raza to invite Sweety to study in London as his family prepares to relocate.

Fast forward a year, Sahil Mirza, an aspiring but struggling playwright, grapples with his father’s disapproval. Despite emerging from a wealthy background, he strives for recognition on his own merits rather than relying on his father’s fame. During a clandestine visit to observe a rehearsal, Sweety inadvertently gets entangled in a chaotic chase, and in a twist of fate, Sahil comes to her rescue amidst a misunderstanding involving her brother Babloo.

When Sahil learns more about Sweety’s family dynamics, including their life in Chaudhary Manor and her father’s unfulfilled culinary dreams, he becomes determined to reconnect with her. However, the family’s protective atmosphere proves challenging. Babloo’s revelation about Sweety’s supposed relationship with a Muslim boy complicates matters further, leading to miscommunication and assumptions.
