She receives a call concerning domestic abuse, but upon her arrival, the situation is dismissed as a false alarm. It is only when Maaji, a maternal figure to Saumya, discreetly reveals that she made the call out of genuine concern for Saumya, who endures brutal maltreatment from her husband Dhruv, that the gravity of the situation comes to light. Although Dhruv and Shailee begin dating, his father pushes him to seek a more suitable partner, leading Dhruv to wed Saumya even as Shailee continues to pursue him, escalating tensions within the family.
