Chithiram Pesuthadi

Thiru is a fearless karateka who saves the don’s son and is hired as his henchman. He struggles with the lure of gang life but gradually seeks reform after meeting Charu. He tries to chart a quieter path, including selling toys on the sidewalk with fellow gang members, and protects those he cares about even at great risk.

Charu is an NGO worker who fights injustice and challenges Thiru’s world. She respects Thiru’s courage but initially resists gang life, drawn to his reforming influence. Her engagement with Thiru falters after a raid, as she grapples with guilt and learns the truth about his intentions, ultimately choosing to marry him.

Annachi is a ruthless local don who wields power and uses fear to control people. He manipulates family ties and seeks Charu, testing loyalties and threatening those who stand in his way. When he finally recognizes the lovers’ bond, he halts the assault and allows Thiru to go, enabling their eventual marriage.

Charu’s Father blesses the match with Thiru, but his death by suicide follows the raid and the ensuing heartbreak. His absence intensifies Charu’s struggle with guilt and shapes her resolve in the conflict between love and duty.

Charu’s Uncle arranges for her to be married to a relative, creating pressure and disapproval within the family. He represents traditional authority and the tangled loyalties that complicate Charu and Thiru’s pursuit of a life together.

Brief cameo by Malavika as part of the film’s ensemble, adding texture to a story rooted in city life and social conflict.
