The movie begins with Mukundan working as a cab driver in Mysuru, Karnataka, where he leads a simple life. During a night trip, he meets Hema, a drama artist whose troupe's bus breaks down, leading to a bonding between the two. This sets the foundation for his interactions with the people around him.

Mukundan shifts his residence to be near Hema's place, after conflicts with his previous roommate. Their friendship deepens as they spend more time together, highlighting his growing connection with her.

Mukundan rescues Sreeram after his suicide attempt by calling emergency services. This event introduces Mukundan to Sreeram's family and triggers a flashback revealing his past as a bank officer in a remote village.

Through the flashback, the movie shows Mukundan's previous life as a bank field officer, where he was respected and had a romantic relationship with Radha, setting up his motivations and conflicts.

Mukundan falls in love with Radha and plans to marry her. Their relationship faces opposition when Radha's brother Parthan arranges her marriage to Sreeram, not knowing Radha's feelings for Mukundan.
