Bees Saal Baad

Long ago in Chandanghat, a lustful Thakur rapes a young girl who kills herself in despair. Soon after, the Thakur is slain by what the locals call a vengeful spirit. The Thakur’s son dies in mysterious circumstances, apparently at the hands of the same force. The village comes to fear a cycle of violence that echoes through generations.

Twenty years later, Kumar, the Thakur’s grandson, arrives in Chandanghat. Locals warn him that the spirit will kill him just as it did his ancestors. Despite the warnings, Kumar remains skeptical about the legends.

That first night, Kumar hears a haunting singing voice that locals attribute to the spirit, coming from the swamp. The eerie sound unsettles him and cements the legend around his presence in the village. The atmosphere is thick with fear and curiosity as moonlight glints over the swamp.

On the following day, Kumar discovers his coat is missing, a strange disruption in the routine. News spreads that Kumar has been killed, and Radha—an inhabitant connected to elder Ramlal—receives word of his supposed death. Radha is skeptical and decides to find the truth herself.

Radha ventures into the forest and meets Kumar, who insists that he is not dead. He explains that a man wearing his coat was killed in the swamp beneath the same tree where his ancestors were killed. The killer mistook the coat and attacked the wrong person, tying the haunting to a single misused garment. The encounter deepens the mystery but also hints at a human element behind the fear.

Later that night, Laxman reveals the chain of events: the man killed under the tree was his sister's husband, killed in a ruse. Laxman had signaled from the rooftop with a lantern to guide the fugitive, who needed a coat. He had stolen Kumar's coat to equip the fugitive, allowing the 'spirit' to claim the wrong man. The revelation exposes a human plot behind the supernatural legend.

Ramlal, Radha's uncle, forbids their meeting and cites the village's history of violence, saying Kumar is marked by the spirit. He insists the legend is real and dangerous, not to be trifled with. Radha walks away saddened by the elder's fearsome authority.

To push Kumar out, Ramlal and Radha arrange a meeting near the swamp, hoping fear will drive him to leave. The aim is to sever the growing bond between Kumar and Radha by exploiting the legend's power. Radha hopes the plan will save them from danger.

Kumar goes to the swamp as scheduled, and the 'spirit' makes a violent attempt to kill him. He fights for his life and narrowly escapes, realizing the danger is all too real. The incident confirms the threat is not mere superstition.

Radha uncovers that the 'spirit' is a disguise worn by Ramlal, not a supernatural force. The uncle's motive is revenge for the past, using fear to target Kumar, the grandson of Thakur. This revelation shifts the danger from folklore to a human antagonist.

Police arrive and persuade Ramlal to surrender, ending the masquerade of fear. The community breathes a sigh of relief as the real danger is brought to light.

Kumar and Radha meet and decide to pursue a future together, sealing a hopeful ending after a long ordeal. The village's haunting legend gives way to a personal destiny built on trust rather than fear.
