Dayashankar, a wealthy NRI in London, lives with his wife Parvati and daughter Pooja. He treats Amar, the son of his deceased best friend, as a surrogate son and has long wished him to marry Pooja. The dynamic sets up a potential match between Amar and Pooja, though Dayashankar's real agenda is to keep the family alliance intact.

Amar, studying in Edinburgh, is invited to stay with the Dayashankar family in London. He eagerly prepares for the meeting with Pooja, recalling their childhood bond and planning to ask Parvati's father for Pooja's hand.

Pooja has fallen in love with Vijay Khanna, a pilot, and plans to marry him. This disappoints Dayashankar, who had tacitly promised Amar that he would marry Pooja. Amar and Parvati work to balance everyone's desires.

After some convincing from Parvati and Amar, Dayashankar agrees to honor Pooja's wish to marry Vijay. He lets go of the implied arrangement with Amar, closing the door on that path for the moment. The family adjusts to the new engagement.

Vijay, Dayashankar, and Amar join forces to safeguard Rahul, Vijay's and Pooja's son, from Kailashnath and his gang. They coordinate a plan to counter the threat and keep the boy safe. The unlikely trio must navigate trust and old grievances to act as a team.

In the climactic showdown, Kailashnath shoots Amar multiple times as he shields Rahul. Dayashankar steps in and shoots Kailashnath dead to stop him. Amar dies in the arms of the grieving family, having protected the son he accepted as his own.

With Amar's sacrifice, Pooja and Vijay reconcile and resolve to honor his memory. They carry forward his legacy as a family that chose love and responsibility over pride. The film closes on a note of forgiveness and remembrance.
