Sapna lives under the strict control of her father Pratap Dholakia, a wealthy underworld don, and her brother Raman. Both are involved in violent criminal activities, and Pratap keeps Sapna confined at home for her safety, or more accurately, to maintain control over her. She has little freedom and is isolated, with only her sister-in-law Nisha for company.

From the opening scenes, the oppressive atmosphere of Sapna's home establishes the dangerous world she desperately wants to escape.

After witnessing Sapna being attacked by a rival gang and saving her, Rohit learns her name from a newspaper the next day. He and his friends disguise themselves as a musical band performing for Navaratri celebrations and enter Sapna's home under this pretext. This allows them to meet secretly during the nine-night festival.

The Navaratri festival provides the perfect cover, during this time, musical performances and celebrations are expected, making the disguised band believable.

Pratap arranges for Sapna to marry the son of a wealthy friend in London as a way to remove her from the dangerous criminal world, and more importantly, to control her life completely. He announces this on the last night of Navaratri, shocking both Sapna and Rohit. This is not acceptance of their relationship; it's a calculated plan to trap Sapna abroad in an arranged marriage.

The announcement comes immediately after Pratap seemed to warm to Rohit, making it a shocking betrayal that reveals his true manipulative nature.

Sapna ends her relationship with Rohit to protect him from her father and brother. She knows that continuing their relationship could put Rohit in mortal danger from Pratap's criminal operations. She chooses to sacrifice her own happiness and accept a loveless marriage in London to ensure Rohit's safety.

Nisha had warned Sapna about Pratap's cruelty and what he would do if he discovered the relationship, making Sapna's decision feel inevitable.

Sapna overhears Pratap speaking about Rohit's death, the murder he ordered at the factory. Believing the man she loves is dead, Sapna spirals into despair and overdoses on pills, leaving a suicide note in her room. When his search proves futile, Pratap has Pathan's telephone bill checked and discovers frequent calls to an unknown number. He quickly deduces this number belongs to Rohit, revealing how he tracks them down.
