Veerapandiya Kattabomman

Kattabomman and his retinue pursue the robbers who are captured in Panchalankurichi. The robbers confess they were hired by the British to create unrest in the region. They also reveal that the British enticed the neighboring chieftain Ettappan to help annex Panchalankurichi.

In Chayalkudi, Vellaiyammal vows to wed the man who tames her pet bull. She brings the bull to Panchalankurichi for a jallikattu contest, hoping to win the proud creature’s heart. Several contestants fail until Vellaiathevan, Kattabomman's commander, subdues the bull and wins her love.

Kattabomman learns of Vellaiyammal and Vellaiathevan's romance and encourages their marriage. His support reinforces the couple's happiness within the community and the king's camp.

The tax collector Jackson sends for a meeting at Ramanathapuram to discuss payment. Captain Davison advises Kattabomman to attend. At the meeting, Jackson insults him and orders his arrest, forcing Kattabomman to confront the British presence.

Surrounded by British troops, Kattabomman fights and escapes; however, his minister Thanapathi Sivasubramaniam Pillai is captured. The incident marks a turning point as Pillai becomes a focal point of British punishment and leverage.

Pillai is released and reports that Jackson has been sent back to England. A British messenger accuses Pillai and his men of looting granaries at Srivaikuntam and killing people, which Pillai justifies as famine punishment. Kattabomman is left to weigh the consequences of Pillai's actions.

Lushington, Tirunelveli's new revenue collector, collaborates with Major Bannerman and Ettappan to incite neighboring rulers to attack Panchalankurichi. They plan to strike when a Tiruchendur festival draws crowds, aiming to overwhelm Kattabomman's defenses.

Sundaralingam, Kattabomman's spy, informs the king that war is imminent. In response, the king mobilizes his forces and prepares for a full-scale conflict against the British-aligned powers.

On the day of the battle, Vellaiyammal pleads with Vellaiyathevan not to go, haunted by a nightmare full of omens. Ignoring her pleas, Vellaiyathevan leads Kattabomman's army into the fight.

Vellaiyathevan is killed in the fighting, and Vellaiyammal learns of his death with profound grief. Her sorrow drives her to seek justice for his demise.

Overwhelmed by grief, Vellaiyammal takes revenge by killing the man who killed her husband. The act marks a personal vow fulfilled amid the chaos of war.

Bannerman's troops bombard Panchalankurichi with heavy artillery, inflicting heavy losses on Kattabomman's army. The king is wounded in the neck, and his brother Oomaithurai helps save him as the fort begins to fail.

With the fort doomed, Kattabomman and Oomaithurai flee toward the kingdom of Kovilpatti. Pillai disguises himself as Kattabomman to decoy the pursuing British soldiers, aiding their distant escape toward safety.

Kattabomman and Oomaithurai reach Pudukkottai, but Thondaimaan captures them under British orders and hands them over. Oomaithurai is jailed, and Kattabomman is tried and hanged, ending his resistance against the British.
