A police constable named Naatrayan lays out the caste-and-power lines to the SP, detailing how AKP, once the president of the Veerapandiapuram panchayat, was toppled by a local lawyer, Jothi Murugan, six months ago. Chelladurai and his kin seek to wipe out AKP’s lineage in retribution for the alleged crimes against their own daughter, and the two factions collide with escalating ferocity. The moment of confrontation spills beyond words when Rathinaswamy’s men storm Chelladurai’s home, abduct the bus driver and the conductor who witnessed the daughter’s death, and drive them into pits before dousing them with petrol and setting them alight.

The tension widens as Venba, Rathinaswamy’s daughter, vanishes, a disappearance that signals a larger plan tied to an arranged – and contested – marriage. In a bid to protect his own, Siva agrees to return his daughter to Rathinaswamy, a move that incurs fierce opposition from her uncle and heightens the risk around everyone involved. Chelladurai’s family tries to manage the fallout, telling the conductor’s wife that they are only searching for him, a cover that masks the grim truth—an undercover war that has claimed lives already. The tension erupts again at a temple when Chelladurai’s men clash with Rathinaswamy’s, and the two sides collide in a brutal melee that leaves friends and enemies scattered.

In the heat of battle, Rathinaswamy’s effort to protect Venba at the kovil is countered by a chaotic struggle that ultimately leaves Rathinaswamy exposed. Solomon and Siva confront Rathinaswamy, and the fight ends with Rathinaswamy dead at the hands of both men. Years slip by, and Solomon makes a dark move of his own, slitting the inspector’s throat after discovering he served AKP’s sons as an informant. Yet amid the cycles of violence, there is room for renewal: Venba returns to teaching local students, a quiet act that hints at a different future for the village.

A long shadow of the past frames the present. Siva hails from Poombarai, and Yashodha, Chelladurai’s daughter who taught children for free, stood up to AKP’s abuses with clear evidence. Six months earlier, as part of the election campaign led by Jothi Murugan, Yashoda helped expose widespread corruption, and her love for Siva deepened in the process. A bus ambush by Rathinaswamy’s men results in Yashodha’s capture and a brutal sequence: Malarkodi escapes to the couple’s home, Yashodha suffers grievous harm, and her body is later found in a river, a stark reminder of the cruelty that fuels every character’s choices. The village is left reeling, and the narrative finally turns back to the present, where Siva’s relentless fight against Rathinaswamy’s kin continues to shape the fate of everyone involved.

With every twist, the story keeps a steady pace: a quest for truth, a spiral of revenge, and a community left to pick up the pieces after a long season of bloodshed.
