After a rain‑soaked car crash leaves one of them badly injured, college friends Terry, Nancy and Gloria seek shelter while en route to a rock concert. On October 22, 1981, Terry, Nancy and Gloria drive to a music festival in rural Washington. They smoke marijuana in the car and hear a radio report about two missing teenage girls. A sudden storm hits, and Nancy crashes, leaving all three unconscious.
