Frank is a seasoned jewel thief with a structured life, operating through legitimate fronts like a bar and a car dealership. Despite his criminal lifestyle, he yearns for a family and begins dating Jessie, a cashier who represents a new beginning for him.

After successfully executing a major diamond heist, Frank passes the diamonds to his fence, Joe Gags. This score is supposed to bring him a substantial profit, fulfilling one of his life’s ambitions.

Frank's plans go awry when he learns that Joe Gags has been murdered, falling victim to mob violence for embezzling funds. This loss leaves Frank without his anticipated payday of $185,000 and sets off a chain of events.

During a tense confrontation at Attaglia's plating company, Frank seeks to reclaim his stolen money. He learns from his friend Barry that Attaglia is behind Gags' murder and is unwilling to relent easily.
