William Duncan is a devoted family man living in suburban Georgia, and his world centers on his daughter, Kat Duncan, a softball standout with aspirations to play professionally and to study law. On a routine trip to pick up dinner, the two share a quiet moment of pretend-long-term planning—Kat reaffirms her dreams, and William promises support. But fate takes a brutal turn when Rory Fetter and Danny Fetter, acting for their father, Donnie Fetter, storm the car and abduct Kat, declaring that they want her soul before Danny fires a shot that ends her life. The shock of the crime ripples through the family and the town as the brothers are arrested, yet William makes a troubling choice: he refuses to identify Danny, allowing him to walk free.

The violence doesn’t end with the arrest. In a chilling night of vigilante grief, [William Duncan] stalks Danny and runs him down with his car, then finishes him off with a softball bat. He returns home disoriented, washing away bloody evidence, and even removes blood from his shirt, a stark display of the chasm widening between the man he was and the killer he has become. The next day, [Rory Fetter] learns of Danny’s death and rushes to the scene, while the detective assigned to the case, Detective Chen, starts tracing the murders and questions William. Chen makes it clear he isn’t calling William a suspect, but he urges William to come to him if anything surfaces.

Rory’s investigators probe the murder scene—one prostitute confirms William’s identity from a photo, and Rory, flanked by his henchmen, ambushes William in a coffee shop. William manages to kill the henchman but loses his wallet in the struggle, a setback that Rory later recovers. In a tense moment of accountability, William calls Chen and admits the truth, and Chen responds by providing a protective squad car. The confession prompts Jen to propose running away together, but their plan is derailed when Rory and Donnie ambush them, striking down Jen and leaving William gravely wounded.

Waking in a hospital, William resolves to exact vengeance. [Detective Chen] visits him with new files on Donnie and Rory, feeding the plan to break out and pursue justice. After a period of recuperation, William escapes the hospital in a janitor uniform, procuring fresh clothes and money from a bank. A brutal encounter with Dante, an arms dealer who has a personal score to settle with Donnie, sets him up with firearms and a chance to regain control over his destiny. William trains in seclusion and then returns to town with a purpose: to locate one of Rory’s lieutenants and expose Donnie’s whereabouts.

A crucial turn comes when William kills the henchman and triggers a pointed response from Donnie: Rory is ordered to finish him once and for all. The pursuit spikes as Rory and his gang chase William back toward the club, where the trail of violence crescendos. In a brutal showdown, the two sides collide, with [Dante] and his confidant Roach providing support in a deadly ambush. As the dust settles, Rory slays Roach, and the two leaders close in on each other. In the final confrontations, Rory shoots William in the stomach, but William retaliates with a grim resolve, grabbing a screwdriver and driving it into Rory’s neck. Rory dies, and William, battered and near death, watches as Rory’s death reveals the ruin his own family has endured because of their criminal network.

Dante survives the chaos and disappears into the night as Chen meets the dying man once more. William, gravely injured, dies soon after, having avenged his family by tearing down the Fetter clan and their gang, even as he pays the ultimate price.
