The Nutcracker Prince

The Stahlbaum family gathers for Christmas Eve. Clara feels left out as her sister Louise has a boyfriend, but the mood brightens when Drosselmeier arrives with gifts: a fully automated toy castle for everyone and a Nutcracker for Clara. Hans finally cracks the Krakatooth, curing Perlipat and restoring hope to the realm. The Mouse Queen's fury erupts as she curses Hans, turning him into a Nutcracker. Her power is countered only by fate as the tale hints at what comes next.

After the cure, the Mouse Queen curses Hans, turning him into a Nutcracker. The queen is killed by a falling statue, and Hans is left as King of the Mice, vowing revenge. Drosselmeier is exiled by the new king, ending his status in the tale.

That night, the Mouse King is driven back by the Nutcracker and the living toys, and Clara joins the group as they prepare to travel to the Land of the Dolls via Drosselmeier's mechanical castle. Pantaloon is wounded in the fray, but the party pushes forward. They aim to restore life and perhaps a future for Clara and the Nutcracker.

The party travels to the magical Land of the Dolls, with Clara shrinking to accompany them. The welcoming castle greets them as the borders of imagination blur with reality. The journey marks the crossing from the real world into an enchanted realm.

Clara returns home, waking to find the Nutcracker missing and wondering what was real. Back in the workshop, Hans appears, now a human again, having been freed from the Mouse King's curse by its defeat. The tale closes with a sense that magic and memory linger in Clara's Christmas world.
