In the enchanting realm of Lumbria, the courageous Princess Ellian faces an extraordinary dilemma that unfolds after her parents, King Solon and Queen Ellsmere, were tragically transformed into wild beasts amidst their perilous expedition through the ominous Dark Forest of Eternal Darkness. This unsettling turn of events has left the kingdom in turmoil for an entire year, forcing Ellian to shoulder immense responsibility as she strives to conceal her parents’ monstrous forms from the ever-watchful public eye.

With the guidance of her royal advisers, particularly Minister Bolinar and Minister Nazara, she painstakingly attempts to find a solution that could reverse her parents’ calamity. However, their repeated efforts have proven fruitless, leaving Ellian increasingly frustrated as her fifteenth birthday approaches. The ministers believe that it is time for her to embrace her role as queen, adding yet another layer of pressure on the young princess.

In a last-ditch effort to save her family, Ellian arranges a pivotal meeting with Sunny and Luno, the mystical Oracles of the Sun and Moon, who may hold the key to restoring her parents’ humanity. However, the meeting does not go as planned, as the frightful appearance of the monster King and Queen sends the oracles scurrying off in terror, leaving behind a potent artifact known as “The Fob,” which holds the combined magic of the celestial beings.

In an unforeseen twist, Ellian inadvertently releases her parents from their confinement, plunging the kingdom into chaos. This upheaval incites alarm among the subjects as well as a swift response from the Captain of the Guards, who orders the horror-stricken beasts to be captured. In a daring bid to evade the authorities, Ellian cleverly utilizes the Fob’s magic, allowing her and her parents to flee into the wild. However, the unexpected consequences of her actions also lead to a comedic turn when Bolinar mistakenly swaps bodies with Ellian’s furry companion, Flink Dee.

Their journey leads them to the serene Dark Forest, where they find the oracles’ humble abode. Here, the oracles reveal a crucial secret: only Ellian’s parents can break the spell by venturing to the mystical Lake of Light. As they embark on this daunting quest, King Solon and Queen Ellsmere begin to regain the ability to speak, though their memories of who they were remain lost. Meanwhile, Bolinar, ever the opportunist, attempts to rally the guards to their location, yet with Ellian’s cunning assistance, her parents evade capture in a desert fraught with perilous quicksand.

An unanticipated moment of heroism emerges when Ellian bravely rescues a struggling baby from the depths of the quicksand and returns it to its grateful parents. This selfless act sparks a flicker of recognition within Solon and Ellsmere, allowing them to reconnect with their forgotten essence of parenthood and slowly remember their bond with Ellian. Bolinar, witnessing this transformation, also begins to rethink his initial doubts, starting to appreciate his new furry form as he befriends creatures akin to Flink.

At long last, the group arrives at the Lake of Light, only to uncover the heart-wrenching truth: the incessant bickering between Solon and Ellsmere was the root cause of their transformation into monsters. Coming to terms with their inherent dissatisfaction, they confide in Ellian that they can no longer coexist as a couple. As a swirl of dark magic threatens to engulf the distressed princess, the enchanted guards still perceive her parents as ferocious beasts.

In a turn of fate, Bolinar manages to break through the barriers of misunderstanding, successfully convincing the subjects of their true nature. United, they harness the lake’s illuminating power to rescue Ellian from the ominous clutches of darkness. In a touching display of affection, Solon and Ellsmere reaffirm their unwavering love for their daughter, enabling Ellian to find solace in their decision to part ways, ultimately recognizing that their family bond remains unbroken. Their emotional farewell culminates in a heartfelt embrace that dispels the dark enchantment, restoring Solon and Ellsmere to their human forms and reverting Flink and Bolinar to their rightful bodies.

Fast forward one year, the newly separated Solon and Ellsmere govern the kingdom with grace from their distinct castles, successfully co-parenting Ellian amidst their new reality. As she celebrates her sixteenth birthday, Ellian finds herself surrounded by family and friends, cherishing the balance between life’s jubilant and challenging moments, thus embracing everything that comes her way with an open heart.
