David and the Elves

David, played by Cyprian Grabowski, grows up surrounded by his parents and grandparents high in the snowy embrace of the Tatra Mountains, where Christmas is a warm, loud, and beloved family affair. A year later, life shifts when the family moves to Warsaw, and his parents find themselves overwhelmed with work, creating a new rhythm for the young boy who still clings to the magic of the season.

During the Christmas season, Albert the Elf, played by Jakub Zając, escapes from the North Pole to restore his fading Christmas power. He believes people love him, but the reality proves more complex. In Warsaw, he crosses paths with David in a park and the two quickly become friends. Albert’s magic turns playful moments into memorable mischief: a giant truck is transformed into a toy, the family Christmas tree is swapped for a drum set, and David’s dad’s fake Santa beard becomes a real one.

David tries to explain what’s happening to his parents, but his attempts to describe the marvels inadvertently cast Albert as a thief. This misunderstanding sets off a larger hunt for the elf. Santa Claus, played by [Cezary Żak], sets out to find Albert and discovers that the elf’s Christmas power is fading the more he spends time with David, a change that could eventually turn him into a toy if left unchecked. The tension between joy and danger grows as Albert’s magic fuels themselves but at a cost.

Albert begins helping David with his abilities, yet he does not fully grasp the toll this is taking on him. When the powers finally fail, Albert resolves to return to the North Pole, and David chooses to accompany him to understand the wider world beyond Warsaw’s streets. As they vanish into the forest, Santa and Mrs. Claus — Monika Krzywkowska — join the search, hoping to mend what’s been unspooled.

In the woods, the two find shelter for the night, but trouble follows. Albert transforms back into a toy just as David drifts off to sleep, reversing all the magic he had sparked. Realizing what has happened, David bolts toward his grandparents’ house with the now-toy Albert in tow, bringing the grown-ups — including Santa and Mrs. Claus — to the scene just in time.

Desperate to restore life to Albert, David tries every trick he can think of, but nothing works. A final turn of fate arrives when David notices footprints in the snow, and Albert reappears behind him, bringing him a moment of relief and joy. The reunion seals a tender truth: life, love, and laughter belong to a world that needs both wonder and care. With Albert, Santa, and the elfin community back at the North Pole, the family’s Christmas spirit returns. They join in singing carols once more, celebrating together with Albert and the other elves as a brighter, hopeful season unfolds.
