In Barangay Sansinukuban, a chaotic neighborhood along Kalye Matiyaga, Anna Camille Prats is a simple girl who lives with her mother Cely Cherry Pie Picache and her grandmother Lola Melyang Nida Blanca. Her estranged father Oscar Tirso Cruz III stays with his sister Pura Mely Tagasa and her older brother Junjun Boom Labrusca. Anna moves through the streets with friends Trinket Serena Dalrymple (the youngest daughter of Joy Viado) and Minggoy Menggie Cobarrubias, who often clash, and Abigail Shaina Magdayao, who lives with her elder brother Rolly Carlo Aquino and grandfather Sotero Archie Adamos. In the neighborhood, Elwood Paolo Contis is a hopeless romantic who is head over heels for April Andrea Del Rosario, Kikoy’s daughter; Kikoy Felindo Obach serves as the village chief who anchors the community.

On Cely’s birthday, Anna shares a piece of cake with an old lady who, in gratitude, grants Anna the power to grant wishes to others simply by touch. The first person she touches is her aunt Pura Mely Tagasa, who wishes for her plants to grow big. Soon after, Trinket’s family faces a disruption when the electric company disconnects their electricity, a moment the whole neighborhood witnesses, leading to ridicule aimed at Joy Joy Viado. The magical growth of Pura’s plants continues, astonishment spreading through the community. Minggoy [Menggie Cobarrubias] receives a jackpot in the lottery after Anna’s touch, offering him a life free from want. Arnel experiences a startling transformation into a beautiful woman after another touch from Anna. To prove the ability, Trinket pushes Anna further, challenging her when a young boy playing in a makeshift swimming pool asks for a bigger pool, and Anna’s touch agrees.
