Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July

Long ago, a powerful, evil snow wizard named Winterbolt Paul Frees wreaked havoc on the North Pole until Lady Boreal Nellie Bellflower, Queen of the Northern Lights, stepped in and sealed him away in a deep sleep. Years later, when Rudolph Billie Mae Richards is born, Boreal transfers the last of her radiant power into Rudolph’s bright red nose, a gift that will glow only if used for good and will stop shining if ever used for evil. Winterbolt soon learns of this vulnerability and hatches a plan to dispose of Rudolph for good.

Meanwhile, Milton Red Buttons, an upbeat ice cream man arriving in a whimsical hot-air balloon, drops in with surprising news: he intends to marry Lilly Loraine Ethel Merman’s daughter Laine Shelby Flint and hopes their act can star in Circus by the Sea to help lift the circus out of debt. A cynical man named Sam Spangles Don Messick watches from the shadows, plotting to buy the circus after the Fourth of July. In this tense backdrop, Winterbolt offers Frosty Jackie Vernon and his family magical amulets that prevent melting—yet the protection lasts only until the final firework fades on the Fourth.

Santa Claus Mickey Rooney agrees to pick them up before the magic wears off, but a blizzard conjured by Winterbolt complicates the journey, delaying their rescue. The sorcerer then infiltrates the Caves of Lost Rejections and recruits Scratcher Alan Sues, a jealous reindeer who longed to join Santa’s team but was fired when Rudolph arrived. They, alongside Spangles, plot to push Rudolph into stealing from the circus, making him look evil and stripping him of his hard-won magic.

Amid the turmoil, Frosty discovers Scratcher’s scheme and vows to help Rudolph. Winterbolt doubles his trouble by offering to help Frosty in exchange for Frosty’s hat, hoping to use the hat to fashion an army of evil snowmen. Rudolph, guided by his own resolve, confronts Winterbolt, wrests the hat back, and the glow returns to his nose with renewed strength.

A decisive turn follows when an officer arrests Sam Spangles and clears Rudolph’s name, returning Frosty’s hat and the circus money, effectively reviving Frosty’s spirits. Winterbolt himself arrives for one final assault, but Lilly Loraine uses her iron pistols to break the sorcerer’s scepter, turning him into a tree and ending his spell over the North Pole. With Winterbolt defeated, the magic begins to fade, and Frosty’s family sadly melts as their amulets lose their protective powers.

Yet hope arrives in the form of Rudolph’s old friend Big Ben Harold Peary, who brings Jack Frost Paul Frees to the rescue. Jack Frost breathes life back into Frosty and his family, and Santa, along with Mrs. Claus Darlene Conley, helps Jack Frost guide the snow clan back home. Rudolph, meanwhile, stays behind to assist the circus as they navigate their finances and challenges, eventually leading a dazzling flying circus parade. The animals take to the air with a touch of Santa’s magic and a feed of corn, turning the once-struggling show into a celebration of wonder and resilience. Through courage, teamwork, and a little holiday magic, the tale closes on a note of renewal and festive spectacle, with Rudolph standing at the center of a vibrant, hopeful future for Circus by the Sea.
