Hideaway

In a candlelit room filled with Satanic imagery, a devil-worshiper ritually murders his mother and sister and arranges their bodies as an offering. He recites the Lords Prayer backwards on the wall and then throws himself onto an athame, hoping to condemn himself. The killer's near-death journey erupts into tunnels of light, revealing a tentacle-like being of light and a soul doomed to Hell.

Hatch Harrison drives home from the family’s lakeside cabin with his wife and daughter. A collision with a truck causes their car to plunge into a river, and Regina manages to escape while Hatch is presumed dead.

At the hospital, Dr. Jonas Nyebern and a specialist resuscitation team revive Hatch after a lengthy procedure. A nurse warns about reviving someone who has been clinically dead for so long. During the procedure, Hatch experiences visions of tunnels of light and a heavenly scene where he briefly reunites with his daughter Samantha before being brought back to life.

Back home, Hatch's sleep is haunted by visions of him seemingly murdering young women, but he is actually seeing through the killer's eyes. The killer is also able to see through Hatch's eyes and watches Regina, linking the murders to Hatch's family. These visions blur the line between dream and reality.

Regina sneaks out with friends to a dingy nightclub, where the killer introduces himself as 'Vassago.' Her friends interrupt and drive him away, while Hatch witnesses the scene in his visions. The event marks a direct link between the killer and Hatch.

The next day, Hatch accuses Regina of being at the nightclub, but his warnings are dismissed as mental illness by family, police, and doctors. He seeks a psychic who confirms a 'coincidence of fate' tying him to Vassago and notes that Vassago can see through Hatch's eyes.

Before Hatch can do more, the killer—Vassago—visits the psychic at her home and murders her. This confirms to Hatch that the danger is real and linked to the visions.

Hatch discovers that Vassago's real name is Jeremy Nyebern, the son of Dr. Nyebern. Jeremy is revealed to be psychotic and to have been revived after murdering his mother and sister and attempting suicide. Hatch connects the revived boy to the present killings.

Jeremy kidnaps Regina and takes her to his hideaway beneath an abandoned amusement park, where he has been building a 'monument to hell' and ties Regina to a high perch.

Dr. Nyebern confronts Jeremy in an attempt to talk him down, but Jeremy kills him. Hatch and Lindsey arrive to rescue Regina, leading to a brutal fight with Jeremy.

During the struggle, the demonic soul within Jeremy emerges as Vassago, while an angelic spirit resembling Samantha emerges from Hatch. The two forces clash in a battle between evil and good. Hatch kills Jeremy, and the angelic spirit defeats Vassago.

With Regina and Lindsey safe, Hatch and his family escape from the park together, finally free from the hellish threat that haunted them. They reunite and step back into the world.

In a post-credits moment, Jeremy is shown being revived and immediately slitting a nurse's throat, implying the evil may return. Hatch awakens in his bed, realizing it was all a dream, and he and Lindsey fall back asleep.
