In the mysterious and fog-laden scenery of Northern Wales, a disturbing narrative takes shape as a notorious serial killer, known as the Wedlock Killer, mercilessly targets unsuspecting young women. His horrifying style involves dismembering his victims before their ruthless murders, leaving behind a landscape riddled with fear and sorrow. With the emergence of news about yet another victim, Laurie Wolf, a passionate radio DJ, finds herself facing a challenging fork in her career. Following the abrupt cancellation of her local radio program, she struggles to secure a new position amid the corporate-driven playlists that have suffocated the soul of local radio.

On her show’s final day, Laurie passionately expresses her dissatisfaction to her listeners, decrying the lifeless music and rigid formats enforced by corporate intermediaries that have drained the vibrancy from the airwaves. At this critical moment, her engineer, Ben Evans, proposes that they invite psychic Carla Zaza onto their broadcast, aiming to provoke their corporate overlords further. Initially skeptical, Laurie ultimately agrees to the unconventional idea.

As they prepare to go live, an interesting character named Kate Komisarczyk enters the scene, engaging in an online chat with Ben that leaves her boyfriend, Nick Keller, in a whirlwind of anxiety. Nick is convinced that Kate is being too trusting toward strangers she meets online and is determined to intervene. Unbeknownst to him, Kate has plans of her own.

Kate informs her babysitter that she will be attending the radio broadcast but instead leads Nick on a detour for an unauthorized entry into a nearby mansion. While executing their daring escapade, she remains oblivious to a ghostly apparition briefly appearing in her car. The elderly man who approaches her is similarly unaware, primarily focused on her trespassing.

While waiting for Nick to return with petrol, Kate tunes into Laurie’s broadcast, listening closely as Laurie interviews Carla. However, the psychic’s growing unease begins to manifest when she perceives a strange disturbance in the broadcast signal, revealing signs of electronic voice phenomena. As Nick reaches out to check in with Kate, she cleverly concocts a story about wandering farm animals to mislead the elderly man, who reveals he resides in the mansion. Conflicting truths arise as Kate demands clarification from Nick, only for him to confess he fabricated his story. Before he can share more, a gruesome fate befalls him.

As Kate explores the mansion’s secrets, a live séance unfolds led by Carla, where the spirit named Sarah reveals that she was a victim of the Wedlock Killer on a farm. Kate soon uncovers Sarah’s lifeless body concealed within the mansion’s walls. However, the old man, Alan—who is indeed Nick’s father—accuses her of killing his daughter. Just as he prepares to unleash his wrath, the Wedlock Killer strikes once more, claiming yet another victim.

In a tangle of fate, Kate frees herself from her restraints only to discover Nick gravely injured. In his final moments, he reveals that desperation drove him to theft against his own family. simultaneously, Marek unwittingly falls under Sarah’s spirit’s influence after tuning into the radio séance. As Kate races to the station, she realizes that everyone except for Marek and Ben lies dead. Ben informs her that the broadcast had been pre-recorded the night before, now transmitted from a tape.

As the shocking truth emerges—Ben is the Wedlock Killer—Kate defends herself desperately and manages to stab her assailant, escaping with Sarah’s ghost’s guidance to a room where Marek is handcuffed to the wall. Just as she reaches to free him, Ben knocks her out.

When Kate regains consciousness, she intercepts Ben’s sinister plan to burn her alive. A fierce struggle ensues, but once again she finds herself overpowered, and as Ben prepares to drench her in petrol, Sarah’s apparition appears to him. His moment of panic leads him to accidentally spill the highly flammable liquid over himself. Seizing this crucial moment, Kate snatches his lighter and incinerates him, extinguishing his reign of terror.

With Ben vanquished, Kate rushes back to the radio station to liberate Marek, all while Laurie’s final poignant words resonate, questioning the existence of an afterlife and reflecting on her previous disbelief regarding the paranormal.
