A tragic incident forced Stevens to confront the darker realities of the drug world when one of his dealers was murdered, compelling him to exact revenge on the responsible party at the behest of Jason.

Feeling betrayed, Stevens then renounced his undercover role, driven by a fierce determination to bring down Gallegos and Guzmán independently. As Stevens and Jason plotted their next move, they discovered Gallegos’ deadly intentions, prompting them to strike first and seize over $100 million in cash. They approached Guzmán with a proposal: invest in their synthetic cocaine venture in exchange for 80% of the cash bounty.

Just as they struck this audacious deal, Taft, who had been surveilling Stevens, attempted to regain the upper hand but fell victim to Guzmán’s men.
