Through it all, Grogan guards a growing friendship with Tim Murphy, a fatherless boy who lives in the apartment down the hall. Tim’s mother, Christine De Vera, Alberta Watson, works three jobs to keep the family afloat, and Grogan becomes a constant, if morally ambiguous, presence in Tim’s life.
Tim’s world is a small, rough-edged classroom for Grogan’s more dangerous lessons.
