Ashish, portrayed by Ajay Devgn, is a 50-year-old Indian businessman currently living in London and navigating the complexities of being a divorcee. Known for his pragmatic and straightforward approach to life, he is adamant about one thing: he never pays for sex. His life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Ayesha, a spirited 26-year-old played by Rakul Preet Singh, at a friend’s wedding.

In a twist of fate, Ashish hosts a bachelor’s party where, due to a lack of a stripper, the bride requests Ayesha to pose as one to test the groom’s fidelity. This situation spirals into chaos when the groom mistakenly believes Ayesha is a professional stripper, leading to a confrontation with his angry bride. Ayesha deftly manages the situation, convincing the bride that all was well as the groom was merely succumbing to peer pressure.

After a heavy night of drinking, Ayesha wakes up in Ashish’s apartment, thinking they had intimate relations. However, Ashish clarifies, shocking her as he reveals he never sleeps with intoxicated women. Their attraction becomes palpable as they flirt and spend time together, even debating the nuances of their age difference through humor. Their bond deepens further when Ayesha confronts her past with her cheating boyfriend Akash and Ashish steps in, instructing Akash on how to let Ayesha go.

Ashish’s therapist, Samir (played by Javed Jaffrey), raises concerns over their budding relationship, labeling it as one between an ‘old rich man’ and a ‘hot young girl’ with daddy issues. Their chemistry eventually flourishes into a romantic relationship filled with laughter and tough conversations. Ashish, who has two children from his previous marriage, grapples with the implications of a relationship with a significantly younger partner.

As their relationship matures, Ayesha visualizes a future filled with marriage and children, in stark contrast to Ashish’s reluctance towards parenthood. He is aware that committing to her means reliving old experiences, while Ayesha fears being perceived as merely a gold digger. Amid heightened emotions, Ayesha confronts Ashish during an unexpected outing, proclaiming her love, which prompts Ashish’s hesitant acceptance of her marriage proposal.

With the quest for family approval in play, Ashish takes Ayesha to his parents’ home in Manali to seek their blessing. The visit reveals a bewildering family dynamic: his ex-wife Manju (played by Tabu) and their children are residing there, leading to unexpected confrontations and tensions, especially with his daughter Ishita (Inayat Sood), who reacts negatively to Ayesha’s presence given their age similarity.
