Two women, Dee Twiddle, [Pamela Anderson], a professional dancer with breast implants and a notoriously gassy pet turtle named Virgil, and Dawn St. Dom, [Denise Richards], a former secretary who’s chased a dancing dream, meet at their very first flight-school lesson and instantly click, drawn together by shared backgrounds and dreams. A mix-up during the session leads them to believe one is the teacher and the other the student, triggering a panic that ends with their training plane crashing on a golf course. Both survive without injuries, and they soon discover they’ve been neighbors for nearly a year, adding a funny twist to their rapid bond.
With their new friendship solid, Dee sets out to help Dawn land a dancing gig at the Beaver Patch Lounge, while the two navigate the underbelly of a coastal crime world. The Vancouver Italian Mafia vows to eliminate Lou Rimoli, a former mob member and current informant who runs the lounge, and the hit is entrusted to two female assassins, Cat and Kit, mobilized by the Godfather to enforce the order. The killers succeed, but Rimoli is murdered just before Dee and Dawn audition, and the aftermath triggers a cascade of mistaken identity. As the scene unfolds, the mob’s plans and the agency’s watchful eyes collide in a web of espionage and misdirection.
Leo and Swan, the men assigned to monitor Rimoli’s operations, observe the blondes fleeing the club and mistake Dee and Dawn for Cat and Kit themselves, pulling them into a dangerous game not of their own making. The two women, now unwittingly tied to a high-stakes mob plot, agree to a lucrative offer—$250,000—to “take out” Hang Wong, the head of the Triads in Niagara Falls. They assume it’s a dating assignment rather than a hit, while federal agents close in, convinced the sisters are the famous assassins they’re chasing, intensifying the chase that spirals toward an international rendezvous.
The Godfather’s circle threads the pursuit to Niagara Falls, where Dee and Dawn set up at a casino hotel owned by Hang Wong. Cat and Kit also descend on the same casino, eager to reclaim their stolen reputations and exact revenge. When Dee encounters Wong during a meeting with Leo and Swan, she tries to coax information about their scheme, and the tension ratchets up as federal agents relentlessly shadow the two women who are pretending to be someone they’re not. After a tense sequence of pursuit and capture, Dee and the others are taken into custody, and the casino becomes a temporary checkpoint in a rapidly shifting power play.
Back at the casino, Cat and Kit are detained, and Wong finds himself under arrest for kidnapping Dee. Dawn and Dee share a quiet, celebratory moment, kissing as they reflect on the ridiculous yet thrilling ride they’ve shared. Dawn even discovers a possible new partner in life who joined her on the perilous boat chase, a detail that adds a touch of romance to their wild adventure. With the immediate danger resolved, the pair celebrate their hard-won winnings by laying down plans for a brighter future.
In the end, the pair channel their newfound fortune into a cause they care about: Dee and Dawn’s Famous Turtle Sanctuary. What began as a chaotic double life evolves into a sincere commitment to animals and a better future, as they nurture their single loyal turtle, Virgil, and promise to grow the sanctuary with the hope of more rescues to come. Their friendship, surprising twists, and resilient optimism stand as the heart of this wild, comic caper.
