What Happens in Killer Babes: Full Plot Summary

The whole story of Killer Babes (2007) explained, from the opening scene to the final frame: every key event, every twist and what it all adds up to. Read it as a quick recap before the sequel, to check a scene you missed, or to finally understand what really happened.

Three millionaire best friends, Kitty Kroonenberg, Bracha van Doesburgh, Estelle, Hadewych Minis, and Nicolette, Sanne Wallis de Vries, spend their days undergoing botox injections, liposuction, and other plastic surgeries to keep up their looks for their husbands. After witnessing the murder of their favorite plastic surgeon by his wife, the trio begins to entertain the notion of ending their own husbands’ infidelity with a method that might resemble an accident.

Kitty, Bracha van Doesburgh is almost certain her husband is cheating after seeing him call Pamela, Jennifer de Jong, on his cell phone. To test his faithfulness, Estelle, Hadewych Minis, presents a booklet—a Top 50 checklist of suspicious behaviors. After Kitty fills in nearly the entire list, the trio heads to Amsterdam’s Red Light District to locate a willing killer. There Kitty encounters a deformed man who isn’t afraid to use a gun. The contract killer agrees to make the death look like an accident, but he demands not only €10,000, but also a first edition pressing of Cliff Richard’s Summer Holiday—the exact record Kitty’s husband possesses. When Kitty discovers the record has been given as a gift to a blind, wheelchair-bound friend, she sneaks in after a party and obtains it—though not before the blind man tries to stab her with a sword and accidentally electrocutes himself on a jukebox.

With the record now in hand, Kitty returns to her eyelid appointment and advises her friends to have alibis in case of police questioning. For a ride home, she calls Nicolette’s husband, who arrives in Kitty’s husband’s Maybach—the very car the killer planned to use for the fatal “accident.” A chase through the woods ends with Nicolette’s husband admitting an affair, the car driven off the road, and him being seriously injured while Kitty survives. After the hospital visit, the affair is exposed when the mistress appears at his bedside. Nicolette confronts her husband and the mistress, and the clash indirectly leads to the husband’s death from his injuries.

At the funeral, Kitty’s husband decides to use a plane to scatter the deceased man’s ashes over the 18th hole of their golf course. The killer, posing as a mechanic, rigs the plane to leak hydraulic oil during the flight. Estelle’s husband, who has met the mistress at Nicolette’s husband’s bedside, is later seen in his office with the mistress. The two, naked, wave at Kitty’s husband as he flies by, but the plane instead slams into the building, killing them. Kitty’s husband manages to jump from the plane at the last moment, sustaining only a broken arm. With the killer downcast at not having carried out a “simple” killing, Kitty encourages him to continue.

A few days later, Kitty’s husband is set to receive an award at a Dutch Music show. Before the ceremony, Kitty is introduced to Pamela—Jennifer de Jong—the woman she suspects is sleeping with her husband, though she is actually a Belgian businesswoman involved in his dealings. Kitty frantically tries to call off the planned killing, not realizing that the Pamela she knows exists and that the killer has an envelope bomb ready. The pursuit charges through security as the killer steals a truck and tries to escape. Kitty rushes onto the stage and tosses the bomb away just in time, but the killer drives the truck through a back wall, running over not only Kitty’s husband but Pamela as well, who had rushed toward him. Kitty, relieved that her husband’s death was due to adultery rather than a random act, shares a kiss with the killer, who disappears before the police can intervene.

One year later, the three widows are seen enjoying life aboard their late husbands’ boat—sharing the company of the killer, who has undergone cosmetic surgery to look more handsome.
