Shakti, Vikram Prabhu opens with a high-stakes move: a moving train is breached by cutting a hole in its roof, and the impulsive thief pulls off the heist with cool precision. Meanwhile, a sharp, morally complex private detective named Diya, Mahima Nambiar, operates on the other side of the law, working for criminals while investigating a separate car theft connected to Malik, the son of the dangerous crime lord Jamalhudeen, Nagineedu Vellanki. A pivotal clue—a video showing Shakti’s face at the train robbery—lands in Diya’s hands, binding her fate to the thief she’s supposed to deny.

Even as Manickavasagam closes in, Shakti executes a bold heist at a flower market. Diya accuses them of criminal complicity, while Jagannathan explains a deeper illness: Shakti has carried a lifelong mental disorder that fuels an overwhelming impulse to take money for no reason at all. To help him fight this compulsion, Jagannathan—a lawman by trade—has steered him toward a dangerous, controlled form of “therapy” by guiding his thefts. Diya’s conscience stirs, and she helps them escape Jamal’s clutches, though Jamal takes the money for himself.

The drama intensifies as Manickavasagam finally traps Shakti and Jagannathan, presenting a murky glimpse of corruption in political circles.
