Mithun dreams of becoming an honest police officer, but repeated rejections crush his hopes. Desperate, he turns to alcohol, robbery and thuggery, joining Amrit Pal's gang to take revenge on the force that denied him. Sridevi, in a dual role, is a key gang member under Shakti Kapoor, who later learns an undercover cop has infiltrated the group.
