Three carefree college friends Meenu, Kavya Madhavan, Simi, Karthika Mathew, and Devi, Manya, are known as the Three Roses for their close bond and constant misadventures. When Devi is caught red‑handed trying to steal exam papers on the eve of finals, the trio goes underground to avoid judgment from peers and families, slipping away from campus life and the expectations that come with it.

With the help of Chacko, Vineeth Kumar, Simi’s fiancée, they arrange shelter with a woman psychiatrist who doubles as an expert in “tantrik” mysticism and Ouija boards, spending their days in an isolated house that feels far from the world they left behind. Yet the strange atmosphere begins to bite back—the landlady claims a wandering soul trails the girls, turning their temporary refuge into a tense, unsettled space where fear flickers at every corner.

The trouble deepens when their college mate Jithulal, a menacing figure from their past, begins to harass them. Jithulal’s threat is reinforced by the uneasy presence of Chacko, who enlists help from Vinod Varghese, a friend whose promises to protect them are quickly shown to be a ruse. Vinod’s real aim is darker than a simple escape, steering them toward danger as deceit lurks behind every well‑meaning gesture.

A vehicular accident on a desolate forest road strands the group, forcing them to press on through the woods on foot. In the silence of the trees, they encounter a mysterious wildlife photographer and a troubled drifter named Raghuram, played by Mammootty. He becomes an uneasy companion, a man whose rough exterior masks a set of haunting stories that begin to pull the girls into a deeper, more perilous mystery. The trio’s resilience is tested as Ram shares memories of a sister who vanished from Bombay, a past that shaped him into a man who drinks to forget and whose own sanity is fragile.

As Ram’s tale unfolds, Meenu and the others learn of a girl named Kalyani—who bore an uncanny resemblance to Ram’s sister—who agreed to leave for Mumbai but vanished on the way, drawing the ire of local Aborigines who suspect Ram of foul play. The truth, as revealed in Ram’s recounting, cuts deeply: Kalyani was brutally assaulted by Jithulal and killed in the woods, a crime that binds the fates of the living and the dead in a single, terrible thread.

The atmosphere thickens as the murdered girl’s spirit begins to haunt the girls, turning their forest stay into a corridor between worlds. Ram’s absence becomes more than a disappearance; it is a sign that danger follows, and the police become involved again only to learn startling truths about Ram’s own fate. The trio returns to the forest house, where Minu—Meenu—with Ouija board in hand, confronts the lingering presence of Ram’s spirit.

What follows is a hard‑edged reckoning: Vinod’s deceit unravels, the spectral presence intensifies, and Ram’s vengeance seems to stretch beyond life itself as the spirit moves toward Vinod in a marsh, ending his treachery in a final, decisive act. The film closes with Meenu back home, the Ouija board once more alive with activity, suggesting that some echoes of the forest never truly fade.

Throughout this journey, the tension is driven by the fragility and resilience of its young protagonists, the eerie atmosphere of the secluded setting, and the blurred lines between belief and fear.
