Another Stakeout

Outside of Las Vegas, crime boss Tony Castellano executes a plan to eliminate a key witness, Luella 'Lu' Delano. Disguised as a septic worker, he pumps gasoline beneath the safe house, leading to a catastrophic explosion that destroys the house and injures Lu's husband, Michael.

In the wake of the explosion, District Attorney Thomas Hassrick is left furious when Lu goes missing. He emphasizes the importance of her testimony in the upcoming trial against Castellano, motivating the police to intensify their search efforts.

In Seattle, undercover police partners Chris Lecce and Bill Reimers are reassigned to investigate Lu Delano's disappearance. Following a series of mishaps in their previous cases, they are briefed by Assistant District Attorney Gina Garrett who assigns them to stake out Lu's Seattle connections.

Chris and Gina prepare their cover story to infiltrate the O'Hara household, posing as a wealthy couple. Bill, who plays their son, is forced to shave his mustache to complete their convincing facade.

Chris returns home only to find his girlfriend, Maria, packing his belongings. The two have an explosive argument over his commitment issues, but in an unexpected turn, Chris decides to propose marriage despite being punched by her during the confrontation.

The undercover team invites the O'Hara family over for drinks, aiming to gather more information. While tensions rise, Chris and Gina clash over the direction of their investigation, further complicating their already sensitive operation.

Bill attempts to set up surveillance equipment in the O'Haras' home but finds himself locked in a panic when he realizes he forgot his tool bag. With tensions rising, Gina distracts the O'Haras to ensure their operation remains intact.

At dinner, as emotions boil over, Chris and Bill are ready to quit their assignment but are dissuaded when Gina breaks down in tears. During this intimate dinner, they inadvertently put themselves at further risk by revealing information about Lu.

While tension escalates, Lu Delano captures Bill when he attempts to install a listening device. Tied up in the basement, Bill struggles to escape as Chris and Gina begin realizing the true danger they are in.

Chris and Gina discover that Lu is planning to kill Bill to silence him. As they race to save him, they witness the O'Haras disposing of his body, leading to a tense confrontation at the docks.

As the situation escalates at the docks, Lu mistakenly spots Bill and tries to shoot him, leading to a dramatic chase. Chris intervenes, resulting in a physical altercation and the collapse of the dock under the weight of the car.

The next morning, Lu meets with the District Attorney while Castellano positions himself with a sniper rifle to assassinate her. Chris and Bill attempt to warn Lu but chaos ensues when misunderstandings lead to a shootout, resulting in multiple injuries.

During the standoff, Gina Garrett is shot while trying to protect Lu from Castellano's assault. The intense chaos culminates in Chris finally killing Castellano, but not before several close calls that leave everyone shaken.

In the aftermath, Gina is rushed to the hospital as Chris reflects on his chaotic life. In a romantic gesture, Chris proposes to Maria, finally committing to their relationship, as Bill watches over them from a distance.
