Android Cop

In 2045, LAPD detective Hammond and his new partner Andy, a crimefighting robot cop, are assigned to recover a runaway Telepresence android containing Mayor Jacobs's daughter's consciousness. The officers are sent to the quarantined Zone in Los Angeles, which is devastated by an earthquake, nuclear leaks, and mutations. Hammond's distrust of machines is rooted in a past incident involving his partner's death caused by an automated gun turret.

Hammond and Andy begin their search for Helen, the android hosting the mayor's daughter, tracing her cellphone signals. During the pursuit, they are ambushed and rescued by Helen herself when a bomb is planted on their car. This reveals the dangerous environment and the complexity of their mission in the Zone.

Helen confesses that residents in the Zone are giving birth to healthy, mutation-free children, contradicting the official story about nuclear leaks. Hammond and Andy realize that the false narrative was created to inflate land prices and that the real source of the disease is linked to a contaminated food drop program endorsed by Mayor Jacobs.

At an extraction point, Helen discovers she is an android. Hammond comforts her, acknowledging her true nature. The revelation deepens the moral complexity of their mission and clarifies the stakes involved in exposing the corruption.

Jones and the corrupt police team arrive intending to kill Hammond, Helen, and Andy. Using analysis of facial motions, Andy uncovers their motives. Hammond and Helen are forced to flee as the corrupt officers activate their Plan B to override control of Hammond himself, revealing that Hammond had suffered mortal injuries in the past and had been placed on life support as an android.

Hammond resists being controlled and overloads the computer system, preventing the termination of Helen. Andy holds off Jones’s squad, and the trio escapes from their pursuers. Hammond’s physical body is severely damaged during their escape, emphasizing the urgency of their mission.

The corrupt officers disconnect Hammond and Helen’s life support, leaving only twenty minutes before their android bodies shut down. Hammond and Helen have a final emotional moment, where Hammond dies after crashing during their escape. Andy intervenes with an injection to save Helen in her vulnerable android state.

Helen awakens, remembering her true nature and the truth about Mayor Jacobs’s treacherous actions. Andy broadcasts their conversations, exposing the corruption. Mayor Jacobs, believing Helen is dead, congratulates and then is publicly exposed for his plans through Andy’s broadcast, leading to his arrest and suicide.

Some time later, Hammond's neural patterns are used to resurrect him as a full android. Reunited with Andy, he resumes duty in their sarcastic but effective partnership, continuing to combat crime and uphold justice, symbolizing new beginnings and the fight against corruption.
