X-Men Origins: Wolverine

In 1845, a young and sickly boy named James Howlett witnesses the brutal murder of his father at the hands of Thomas Logan, the groundskeeper. This horrific event deeply traumatizes James and becomes the catalyst for his latent mutant abilities to awaken.

In a moment of instinctive rage fueled by trauma, James manifests bone claws from his hands and kills Thomas Logan. In his dying breaths, Thomas reveals a shocking truth: he is actually James' biological father, a revelation that horrifies James's mother and drives him to flee.

James, horrified by his actions and newfound powers, runs away into the woods with Victor Creed, the son of Thomas Logan and his half-brother. Together, they begin a new life that will be marked by violence and conflict.

Over the course of the next century, James, now adopting the name Logan, and Victor become soldiers. They participate in significant wars, including the Civil War and both World Wars, revealing Logan's unique regenerative abilities that allow him to survive various injuries.

In 1973, Victor goes too far during a violent spree, attempting to assault a woman and subsequently killing a senior officer. Logan intervenes, which leads the brothers to face execution by firing squad, but they manage to escape.

After their escape, Major William Stryker recruits Logan and Victor into Team X, a covert group of mutants. The team also includes Agent Zero, Wade Wilson, and other mutants, each with unique abilities.

Logan and Team X head to Nigeria on a mission to retrieve a meteorite piece containing Adamantium. However, the morally questionable orders escalate to the massacre of innocent villagers, deeply unsettling Logan.

Disturbed by the brutality of their mission, Logan ultimately decides to leave Team X. This marks a pivotal moment in his life, as he seeks to find a path away from violence and chaos.

Years later, Logan lives a peaceful life in Canada with his girlfriend, Kayla Silverfox. Their idyllic existence is shattered when Stryker informs Logan that Team X members are being murdered, and Victor is the culprit.

A confrontation with Victor leads to the tragic death of Kayla, driving Logan into a vengeful rage. This loss propels him into a dark quest for revenge against his brother and Stryker.

In his desperation, Stryker offers Logan a procedure to bond his skeleton with Adamantium, promising him near invincibility. Logan's desire for power and vengeance pushes him to agree to the operation, taking on the name 'Wolverine.'

After the procedure, Logan finds himself manipulated by Stryker, who intends to erase his memories and use his DNA for creating powerful weapons. Driven by an instinct for survival, Logan escapes and begins his hunt for Stryker.

In his pursuit of Stryker, Logan allies with Gambit, a fellow mutant who assists him in locating the major's lab. Together, they face various dangerous foes, including the lethal Agent Zero.

The story culminates in a series of chaotic battles against Victor and the activation of Weapon XI, Stryker's ultimate creation. Logan discovers painful truths about betrayal and sacrifice, reshaping his understanding of his journey.

In the aftermath of the conflict, Logan is left with fragmented memories and a solitary path ahead. Despite his losses and trials, he embraces his identity as Wolverine, enduring the legacy of war, love, and betrayal.
