Peter Loew is introduced as a driven literary agent obsessed with wealth and success. He spends his days striving for status, which soon leads to a decline in his mental health as he succumbs to the pressures of his relentless ambition.

To cope with his stressful days, Peter often indulges in the nightlife, where he finds temporary relief in alcohol, cocaine, and various romantic entanglements. This hedonistic lifestyle further exacerbates his declining mental state, blurring his grasp on reality.

Peter regularly attends therapy sessions, where he shares bizarre rants that begin to concern his therapist. Despite his efforts to confront his issues, his mental health continues to deteriorate, leading to increasingly erratic behavior.

One fateful night, a bat unexpectedly enters Peter's apartment, causing him panic as he seeks refuge with a woman he had just met. This chaotic yet exhilarating experience becomes a source of warped inspiration for him, which he enthusiastically recounts to his therapist.

Peter's downward spiral takes a darker turn after he meets Rachel at a nightclub. Their chemistry ignites a passion in him, but things take a terrifying twist when Rachel reveals her vampiric nature by biting Peter's neck, leaving him confused and paranoid.

In the days that follow, Peter becomes increasingly obsessed with the idea that he is turning into a vampire. His paranoia leads him to avoid mirrors and wear sunglasses indoors, convinced that Rachel is draining his life force each night.

Peter's erratic behavior starts to affect his relationship with Jackie, who once enjoyed their wild lifestyle. An attempt to apologize and reconnect is thwarted by Rachel's sudden presence, which exacerbates Peter's mental instability.

As Peter's mental health deteriorates, he begins to unleash his frustrations on those around him, including Alva Restrepo. A simple demand for paperwork escalates into a disturbing encounter that leaves Alva traumatized and fearful of Peter's intentions.

Peter's hallucinations grow more vivid, particularly regarding Rachel, leading him to engage in self-destructive behavior. In a moment of delusional bravado, he fires a blank gun into his mouth, feeling momentarily powerful and invulnerable.

In a deluded state, Peter attends a nightclub, donning novelty fangs and imitating a vampire. His attempts at pursuing women turn violently aggressive, and he finds himself thrown out as he confronts the real Rachel, who is clearly avoiding him.

Following her own brush with violence, Alva is left reeling and contemplating the traumatic experience. Her brother Emilio, fueled by rage and vengeance, vows to confront Peter for what happened to his sister.

In a final act of rage, Emilio stabs Peter with a makeshift stake, sealing his fate. As Peter succumbs to his injuries, he retreats into a metaphorical coffin under a sofa, overwhelmed by guilt and the horrors he has inflicted.

As Peter's life slips away, he is haunted by the ethereal presence of Rachel. Her piercing gaze seems to beckon him to join her in the abyss, symbolizing his complete surrender to the dark fantasy he had been living.
