Vivian Vera is a celebrated journalist and the face of the tabloid-style investigative series Untold on Mon News Network. Her career has climbed on sensational exposés, but beneath her polished exterior lies a history of ethical compromises and fabricated stories.
One of her most notorious reports documented the “Cement Massacre,” where informal settlers protesting a development project by Cateland Development were killed. The footage that propelled her to stardom was captured with the help of her cameraman, Benjie, and the line between truth and manipulation begins to blur as the film invites questions about what really happened.
Years later, Vivian is assigned to interview Ernesto Malugay, the security chief implicated in the massacre, who has been released from prison due to lack of evidence. As she digs into the case, she starts experiencing disturbing hallucinations and encounters with apparitions of the massacre’s victims, appearing disfigured and half-buried in concrete.
The supernatural occurrences intensify when a mysterious woman named Diana confronts Vivian, accusing her of burying the truth and presenting her with a cursed bracelet. This confrontation sets off a chain of events in which people connected to Vivian’s past, including former colleagues and others linked to the tragedy, meet gruesome deaths, seemingly at the hands of vengeful spirits.
Vivian’s grip on reality frays as time lapses and memory gaps deepen, and her interactions with colleagues grow tense. Among them is ambitious junior reporter Louise Amador, who begins to dig into the inconsistencies in Vivian’s past reports. Vivian’s mother, Monica Vera, played by Monica Vera, watches the downward spiral with growing concern.
In flashbacks, it becomes clear that Vivian’s unethical practices extend beyond the Cement Massacre. To outshine her rival Elaine Arnaiz, she fabricates a story about a restaurant serving cat meat, going as far as killing her own pet cat, Kitty Marie, to produce convincing footage. The revelation casts a harsher light on Vivian’s legacy and the true cost of sensational journalism.
As the haunting intensifies, Vivian grows convinced that she is cursed by the families of the victims and that the only escape is to confess her “untold” crimes. The film builds to a harrowing confrontation where she must choose between revealing the truth—thereby destroying her career—or succumbing to the wrath of the vengeful spirits.
