Ulzana’s Raid

The dusty mesas and jagged canyons of the early American frontier form a stark backdrop where law, survival and honor constantly collide. In this unforgiving landscape, the tension between a fledgling United States outpost and the native peoples who have long called the land home hangs like a low‑hanging cloud, promising both danger and revelation.

When a revered war chief, Ulzana, breaks from the confines of an Indian reservation, his small band of Chiricahua warriors sets out on a desperate, violent trek that forces everyone around them to confront the raw cruelty of frontier life. Tasked with bringing the renegade group to heel is an aging Army scout, McIntosh, whose weathered experience has taught him the cost of underestimating the land’s hidden currents. He is joined by a freshly commissioned lieutenant, Garnett DeBuin, whose rigid Christian ideals clash with the bleak realities he soon witnesses, and by an Apache scout, Ke‑Ni‑Tay, whose personal ties to Ulzana add a layer of uneasy kinship to the chase. The trio must learn to read each other’s motives while navigating a hostile wilderness that seems to anticipate every move.
