A ruthless renegade leads a band of followers who plunge into a deadly wilderness seeking the chance to kill him. When a young cavalry officer discovers his lover brutalized by Apache raiders, he condemns the Army for abandoning the outpost. He deserts his unit and becomes an avenger, hunting the Indians with relentless, unannounced attacks.
