The Invincible Armour

The film opens with a showcase of two legendary kung fu techniques: Iron Armor, which supposedly renders a fighter nearly invulnerable, and Eagle Claw, the deadliest of all strikes. The narration explains their power and limits as the audience watches experts demonstrate.

Ming General Chow sees Hu Lung foil a group of bandits during a patrol through town. Impressed by his skill, Chow arranges for Hu Lung to meet Minister Liu, the head of Royal Security, as a potential candidate for the Ming forces.

During a sparring session with Liu in the courtyard, Hu Lung suddenly draws a knife and murders the minister. General Chow rushes to Liu's aid, but guards arrive and arrest Chow on the spot. En route to the court, a unit of soldiers comes to kill Chow, but he defeats them and escapes.

Minister Cheng, a skilled practitioner of Eagle Claw and Iron Armor, dispatches Shen Yu to track Chow and bring him in. Shen Yu vows to arrest the fugitive and maintain order, setting the stage for a tense pursuit.

Chow continues the chase for Hu Lung, evading pursuit by the authorities and following scattered clues. His skill lets him slip through tight spots and stay ahead of capture, gradually closing in on Hu Lung.

Chow's pursuit intersects with an old man who is Hu Lung's former teacher. The old man explains Hu's motive and past, revealing the strain between their clans and hinting at deeper schemes behind the assassination.

Hu Lung confesses to his old teacher that he was paid by Minister Cheng to carry out the assassination, complicating the political intrigue. The old man confronts Cheng and schemes to trap him using Hu as bait, but the plan backfires when Cheng kills the old man and Hu escapes.

Chow learns the Iron Finger technique from the old man's grandson and granddaughter, a development designed to counter Cheng's Iron Armor. The training provides crucial improvement in his ability to pierce Cheng's defenses and prepares him for the confrontation ahead.

Shen Yu and a second enforcer confront Chow to arrest him again, but a confrontation arises. Shen Yu begins to doubt Chow's guilt and gives him three days to locate Hu Lung and clear his name, creating a ticking clock for the investigation.

Before Chow can catch up, Hu Lung is killed by Minister Cheng. Shen Yu later discovers evidence on Hu Lung's body linking Cheng to the assassination, pushing the case toward exposure of the minister.

That night, multiple assassins attack Shen Yu at an inn, but he is saved by an unknown individual who delivers him a strange letter. The mysterious aid hints at a larger conspiracy and provides him with crucial information. The dawn brings a confrontation with Cheng on the horizon.

The next morning, Shen Yu confronts Cheng and defeats several of the minister's henchmen. He stands firm against Cheng's schemes, weighing his loyalties and the mounting evidence against the minister.

With the pressure mounting, Cheng offers Shen Yu the chance to join him, hoping to secure his loyalty. Shen Yu refuses the offer, resisting Cheng's coercive manipulation. The rift between Cheng and Shen Yu becomes central to the final confrontation.

Chow, Shen Yu, and the old man's two grandchildren join forces to confront Cheng. They coordinate their attacks, combining Iron Armor's weakness with Iron Finger to break Cheng's defenses and corner him.

In the climactic duel, Chow uses the Iron Finger to exploit Cheng's weak spot beneath his armor. Cheng's defenses fail, and Chow delivers a decisive strike that kills Cheng and ends his tyranny.
