After a sequence of mounting challenges, Billy Lo Bruce Lee and his friend, Chin Ku Hwang Jang-Lee, begin to sense that someone is plotting to see them meet a deadly end. Billy soon travels to see his younger brother Bobby Lo Kim Tae-jeong, who is studying with Billy’s former teacher, and he leaves Bobby a book on Jeet Kune Do as a subtle gift and instruction. Not long after, Chin Ku is killed, and Billy undertakes a trip to Japan to locate his stepdaughter, May. May reveals that Chin Ku had visited her just before his death and left a film behind. They are suddenly attacked, but Billy manages to escape with the film clutched tightly in hand.

A few days later, Billy attends Chin Ku’s funeral, but he is barred from viewing the body. A helicopter unexpectedly swoops in and steals the coffin during the ceremony. In a frantic attempt to prevent the theft, Billy is swept up with the casket, struck in the neck, and falls to his demise. Their father informs Bobby Lo of Billy’s death and urges him to seek out a man named Sherman Lan to avenge his brother. Sherman passes a film to Bobby, which reveals Chin Ku at the infamous Palace of Death.

The Palace of Death is run by a crazed martial arts expert named Lewis Roy Horan. Anyone who fails to defeat Lewis is fed to his ferocious lions. Bobby decides to confront Lewis, and the latter is impressed by Bobby’s natural abilities. While exploring the Palace, Bobby is ambushed by a masked man, and he is warned that someone intends to kill him. Later that night, a woman is dispatched to Bobby’s room to seduce and murder him; when she fails, one of Lewis’s lions lunges at Bobby. In the ensuing chaos, the masked man reappears and kills Lewis.

With suspicion falling on Lewis’s valet, Bobby heads to the Fan Yu temple, where rumors speak of an underground Tower of Death. After defeating the valet, he discovers the hidden entrance into the tower. He fights his way through the corridors and corners the operator, Chin Ku, the head of a global drug trafficking organization who staged his own death to mislead Interpol investigators. Chin Ku had attempted to frame Lewis for Billy’s death and had arranged for the coffin to be stolen to thwart any search. Realizing that the only way to counter Chin Ku’s sword skills is to wield Billy’s Jeet Kune Do, Bobby seizes Chin Ku’s sword and, in a decisive move, impales Chin Ku along with his bodyguard monk. The swift strike ends Chin Ku’s reign and brings a halt to his drug operation, leaving Bobby to carry forward Billy’s legacy with a new, quiet resolve. bodyguard monk Lee Hoi-Sang
